    Join the Amherst Survival Center for our 2nd annual month-long Hike for Hunger! Hike for Hunger is an opportunity for you to be outside and active while ensuring our neighbors have access to nutritious food. You can register as an individual or as part of a team and set your personal hiking goal. Once you register, you’ll be able to create your own fundraising page to start collecting donations from family and friends. Come October, head out on the trails wherever and whenever you’d like – with your family, your friends, or your furry friends – and share your adventures. Proceeds from Hike for Hunger go directly to our food and nutrition programs, reaching more than 7,000 people annually. Registration is $25 and includes a 2021 Hike for Hunger t-shirt. There is no fundraising minimum, but those who fundraise will be eligible to earn great prizes.

    Get the family together and hop in the car for Amherst Recreation's 2nd Annual Trick or Treat My Ride Halloween Car Parade! In collaboration with The Amherst Area Chamber of Commerce and The Business Improvement District. We invite you to decorate your car, dress up in your Halloween costume, or just come along and enjoy the ride through Downtown Amherst! While you are Downtown we welcome you to stop by to grab a bite to eat after the parade and support our local businesses! $250 Amherst Recreation Gift Card Awarded to the Best Decorated Car!!!
